Multimedia artist, Miranda Rumina, founded Kerubin Art Society in 2003 in Izola (Slovenia), where its headquarters and Kerubin Art Gallery were located till 2005, when the headquarters were moved to Kamna Gorica (Slovenia).
Kerubin is a continuation of the work of YAM – Association for the Development of Human, which was active in Ljubljana from 1990 to 1994.
Main activities of Kerubin are organizing multimedia art events and exhibitions, organizing creative workshops for children and adults, organizing music concerts, publishing books, calendars and multimedia DVDs, producing creative applications for mobile phones and tablets and ecology.
In 2006 Miranda Rumina and Dalaj Eegol moved to the international town in making, Auroville, in the south-east India near the city of Pondicherry. Here they started to build Kerubin Art Center together with Matej Ukmar and Monica Ukmar. In 2010 Kerubin Art Center was built and artist in residence and volunteer programs began.
Kerubin has been active on two continents for seven years and has so far realized 37 art projects in Slovenia (Europe) and 16 in India (Asia).
